Bus Insulation Tape

Heat shrinkable composite tape has two layers: heat shrinkable material coated with hot melt adhesive. When it is heated the heat shrinkable layer shrinks and inner layer of the adhesive melts, thus the conductor is well wrapped around and sealed. It was used when the clearance between the phases is minor and flash over frequently took place and difficult to provide sufficient insulation protection.
